Jack Johnson wasn’t planning to release an album this year, and with good reason. His father died of cancer last August and just a month later, Johnson, 35, and his wife, Kim, had their third child (a girl). “But all these songs just came out,” Johnson says, “It felt like it was time.”

Merlo’s hip hop side project J RADIO.. will be stepping on stage to perform a set at the two Jack Johnson Paris shows on June 23rd and 24th at the Zenith in Paris. J RADIO on the mic with special guests, Money Mark on keys and melodica, DJ Eskae on turntables and Ken Boudakian on guitar.
Thank you to all of our fans for their support of Jack’s new record, To The Sea. It debuted last week as the #1 album in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Switzerland. The album also debuted in the top 5 in Austria, Germany and Japan.

The soundtrack was put together by Emmett Malloy, and also features new music from Ugly Casanova (with Isaac Brock from Modest Mouse), James Mercer (The Shins, Broken Bells), and Mason Jennings.
