Jack was honored to be asked to perform at the upcoming Pillars of Peace event and lecture with the Dalai Lama. Tenzin Gyatso, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet, will be in Hawaii for two public talks in Honolulu on April 14th and 15th, 2012. Jack Johnson is performing at the Dalai Lama’s student talk for high school and college students titled, “Educating the Heart,” on April 14th. The second event, “Advancing Peace through the Power of Aloha,” will take place on April 15th. The venue for both events is the Stan Sheriff Center on the University of Hawai’i campus at Manoa. The Dalai Lama’s visit marks the launch of a new Hawaii Community Foundation initiative entitled “Pillars of Peace Hawai’i: Building Peace on a Foundation of Aloha.” The program aims to bring global peace leaders to Hawai’i to exchange ideas about the many forms of peace that exist in Hawai’i, and around the world.
