This is definitely early for this topic, but I know that I am very excited! Rumors have been that volume 2 will be coming out this holiday season. Anyone have any ideas of what songs will be on, or what songs they would like to see? I know that I would like to see the CD be very Jack heavy on songs.

Not sure about songs, but I saw G.Love tweeted a month or so back that he was in the studio working on the album. I, too, would like to hear more Jack. I would really love a stripped back acoustic version of “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” similar to the Coldplay/Chris Martin version. That stuff’s gold. Totally bummed Mason isn’t on the label anymore, as he’s one of my favorites. Would love it if he made a special appearance, though. Anxious to hear, also, what Afie (Bahamas) has to offer. I’m sure we’ll get some details in a few months!

Saw a This Warm December Volume 2 update via Twitter:
“Jack’s been busy at the Mango Tree Studio recording two new songs for Brushfire Records’ holiday compilation, This Warm December - A Brushfire Holiday, Volume 2. The album will feature 13 brand new songs including spirited original tracks and merry renditions of holiday classics by all your favorite Brushfire friends: Jack, G. Love, Matt Costa, Rogue Wave, Zee Avi, ALO, Neil Halstead, Zach Gill, Bahamas, Money Mark and Paula Fuga. This Warm December - A Brushfire Holiday, Volume 2 will be released later this year on CD and vinyl just in time for the holidays. There will be a limited edition preorder package available soon…so stay tuned! Visual artist Mel Kadel is designing the album cover and we think you’re going to love it.”
Awesome! Guess we’re getting two songs out of Jack. Wonder who else will double-up on songs? Maybe an entire ensemble? That’d be pretty cool to hear everyone harmonize. Should be finding out in the next few months! I’m glad Paula is making an appearance; love her voice. Also, Mel Kadel is the person who designed Release The Sunbird’s (from Zach of Rogue Wave) album cover. Really interesting and amazing design. I’m excited to see that, as well.
I just have to say, I’m so glad they’re doing this. The holiday season carries some of the warmest memories in my heart, and music has always been a part of that. I have the greatest memories driving around with my siblings and parents looking at Christmas lights listening to “Wonderful Christmastime” and “O Tannenbaum.” It’s neat to think these songs have the potential to create similar memories to thousands of people; including future children and grandchildren. Warms the heart, for sure. Thanks, Brushfire.

I got that update through FB and email…was really hoping they’d at least give out a few of the songs that will be on there!! I am one of those Chrismas music types that can and will listen to it nonstop. Well, I do take breaks, but if I’m in the mood, I’ve been known to listen to my favorite holiday tunes throughout the year! Not to mention all the memories that are tied up in each…

Just found out it’s a new version of Jack’s old song. I’m guessing that means more sleigh bells, etc. Excited to hear everything!

Dang! I’m so excited to hear all of these songs. The only thing I’m kinda disappointed about is that Jack isn’t the one doing Frosty The Snowman. I just mentioned that like a week ago. I was hoping he would cover it. But a brand new song and a holiday version of Angel? Couldn’t be better imo

It is released in less than two months, but I’m excited to see what the pre-order package will include. I don’t believe there was one for volume 1, but I could be wrong.
Jack has had some good pre-order packages, like the En Concert one…

Just saw that Paula Fuga posted this on Facebook:
“Practicing my newest song to record my first video ever tomorrow. Nervous and excited at the same time.”
And then…
“Getting ready for a couple of video shoots today for a compilation coming out in the near near future. I can’t give any more details than that but it’s gonna be the bells! Now, what or who to wear?”
Anyone else think this may be for This Warm December: Vol. 2? I know she has a brand new song on the album, that it’s a compilation coming out in the near future, and there will likely be (sleigh) “bells.” It would be so cool to get some Christmas videos to go along with the album!
