In 2003 we set out to build a company that was different than any we had seen, we had a passion for design and we wanted to build a company that combined that passion with wicked cool products, in an environment where everybody and everything matters.  We wanted to create a place that is fun to work at,  the kind of place that you can bring your dog to work, take long lunches and just go biking in the middle of the day because you feel like it!  A company where everybody really is essential to its success, where people build cool things everyday with their hands and are really part of something bigger than us all.  Our biggest purpose though was to create a company that does more good for the world than we do harm and guide others to do the same.  This is who we are.  J.L.Miller Company is an Iowa based environmentally progressive furniture and cabinet company that designs and builds modern furniture and cabinet systems.  We operate a retail store in Iowa and manufacturing facilities in Iowa and Illinois providing commercial and residential clients nationwide with modern design solutions and furnishings.  Look for our new downtown Chicago store in late 2008 followed by downtown Denver in 2009.  We design and craft modern furniture and cabinets by hand, using FSC certified hardwoods, formaldehyde free hardwood plywood and natural hand rubbed finishes.  You can find us online at http://www.jlmillercompany.com  We are proud members of One Percent For The Planet making our annual donations to the protection, preservation, education and management of North American forests and land.  We encourage you to check them out and support other member companies and individuals.
