The mission of the Center for Urban Agriculture at Fairview Gardens is to preserve the agricultural heritage of this 100-year-old farm; to provide the local community with fresh, chemical-free fruits and vegetables; to demonstrate the economic viability of sustainable agricultural methods for small farm operations; to research and interpret the connections between food, land, and community well being; and to nurture the human spirit through educational programs and public outreach both on and off the farm.

Climate Counts is a non-profit campaign that scores companies annually on the basis of their voluntary action to reverse climate change. If the world's 100 largest companies reduced their greenhouse gas emissions by 5% -- just 5% -- it would be like taking 25 million cars off the road. You can vote with your dollar every day. The CEC is a well-established environmental nonprofit focused exclusively on energy efficiency and renewables, alternative transportation, and climate change. We work from grassroots to policy levels to help community members reduce their carbon footprint and to end our region’s dependency on fossil fuels to become 'Fossil Free by 2033'.

HeadCount (2008)
HeadCount, a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization devoted to voter registration and participation in democracy, joins the Jack Johnson tour on the road and is also representing Vote the Environment. HeadCount was created in 2004 by a group of artists, music industry pros and fans who believe music, expression and freedom are all intertwined. To date, HeadCount has registered more voters than any other all-volunteer group in the country.

Heal the Ocean (2008)
Heal the Ocean focuses on wastewater infrastructure - sewers and septic systems - as well as other municipal operations that contribute to ocean pollution. We follow a basic premise: instead of lobbying the government for action on ocean-pollution issues, we study the problem ourselves and recommend practical solutions.

The Naples Coalition banded together in 2000 to monitor and respond to a coastal development project in an effort to protect the rural character of Naples. After 3 years of hard work, the Coalition has crafted an alternative we feel allows the developer to obtain a reasonable return on investment, while protecting the rural character and environmental qualities of the Naples area.
