Surfers and spectators at the #BillabongPipeMasters are catching the #PlasticFreeWave to inspire ocean lovers around the world to wipe out plastic pollution. As part of the Plastic Free Wave Project, Countercurrent and Mark Cunningham teamed up with Kokua Hawaii Foundation, Jack Johnson, Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii and WSL PURE to create a photo backdrop from plastic pollution, fishing nets and reclaimed lumber. The interactive display at the Pipe Masters event this December, raises awareness about plastic pollution and inspires solutions.
