Jack Johnson explains that his audience’s reception of the album reshapes the way he hears his own songs. Most of Jack’s most iconic love songs began as improvised tunes to make his wife laugh, but Jack’s gift is in his ability to find universal truths within personal moments with his family. Becoming a father and raising children altered Jack’s identity, and pushed him to become more present, which the theme he is exploring in ‘Meet The Moonlight.’ Jack also explains his experience working alongside his new friend Blake Mills, and reveals the meaning behind a couple of key tracks.
