Hōkūleʻa in the Haleʻiwa Harbor

Jack had a special morning earlier this month at Haleʻiwa Harbor, visiting the legendary Hōkūleʻa. He joined Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation staff and Kamaki Worthington, founder of Wanana Paoa, and had the chance to greet the Hōkūleʻa Crew as they dock in Haleʻiwa harbor for a few days.

The Hōkūleʻa continues the ancient Polynesian tradition of voyaging, navigating the seas by the stars, wind, and ocean currents. Through voyaging, they hope to inspire communities to care for the earth by highlighting the importance of oceans, indigenous knowledge, education and sustainability
