Jack has been surfing since the age of 5 and the ocean is where he always turns to reconnect with nature. Every day, the Surfrider Foundation works to protect our coasts. This International Surfing Day - June 20th, we can take a moment to appreciate the beaches and waves we all love. Even though many parts of the country might not be able to participate in large-scale celebrations this year, Surfrider has put together some creative ways to get involved even if you can’t go to the beach.

If you’re able to visit your local beach, do a solo beach cleanup and share what you picked up by posting on your social channels, using #ISD2020 and tag @Surfrider. If your favorite beach or surf break is closed, use the hashtag #InternationalSurfingDay and tag @Surfrider on your social posts. Surfrider will be highlighting solo beach cleanups and stay at home posts all day on June 20th in honor of International Surfing Day. Learn more and support Surfrider
