A “Micro” Plastic-Free Film Contest - Winner Announced
And the winning film is… “Do You Want to See a Life Without Plastic?” by Lorna Santiago. Congratulations Lorna Santiago on winning the best film for the Independence from Plastic: A 'micro' plastic-free film contest presented by Plastic Pollution Coalition.
Earlier this year filmmakers were challenged to show their positive vision of a plastic-free future in micro films of 60 seconds or less. Any style, any genre, any vision, just show the positive plastic-free world you want to see. Filmmakers were also challenged to go plastic-free behind the scenes, detailing how production worked to eliminate single-use plastics, manage waste, reduce energy, and source sustainable products.
This contest was made possible with the generous support of the following: Judd Apatow, Hollywood, Health & Society, Johnson Ohana Foundation, Mazursky Family Foundation, and Yarkin Family. Read more about the contest and watch the winning films here.
