Jack and the band just wrapped up the From Here To Now To You Tour of South America and Mexico. The tour kicked off in Peru, followed by Chile and Paraguay then three stops in Brazil and concluded at the Cumbre Tajin Festival in Veracruz Mexico. Highlights include a beach clean-up in Peru and a special sit-in with Manuel Garcia in Chile where Jack and Manuel played “Farewell” a song composed by Manuel Garcia featuring verses from the poem “Farewell” by Pablo Neruda, which they first recorded for the surf film El Mar Mi Alma. In Paraguay, the opening act, H2O, captured the spirit of Jack’s tour with their homemade instruments made of recycled materials, not only did they look cool but they sounded incredible. Brazil brought some of the biggest shows of the tour and the energy from the fans was immeasurable. The last stop of the tour was at the Cumbre Tajin Festival in Mexico where we got to visit the pyramids and Jack and the band had their first opportunity to share the stage with friends, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros. They collaborated on a cover of Bob Dylan’s “I Shall Be Released” and are looking forward to more shows together this summer. Thanks to all who came out to help make each night spectacular and a special thank you to all our new friends who made us feel so welcome.
