Jack to Play Farm Aid 2015!

Jack to join Farm Aid President and Founder Willie Nelson, board members John Mellencamp, Neil Young, and Dave Matthews (performing with Tim Reynolds), along with performances by Imagine Dragons, Kacey Musgraves, Old Crow Medicine Show, Mavis Staples and more for Farm Aid 30! Farm Aid 30 will take place in Chicago on Saturday, Sept. 19, marking the first time Farm Aid will bring its music and food festival to downtown Chicago. The festival will take place at FirstMerit Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island.

2015 marks Farm Aid’s 30th year of action for a thriving family farm food system. Since 1985, Farm Aid has stood shoulder-to-shoulder with family farmers, providing resources in times of need and connecting farmers and eaters who are working together to grow the Good Food Movement. The commitment and vision of Farm Aid’s founders — Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp — and that of Dave Matthews, who joined the Farm Aid Board in 2001, has helped strengthen and revitalize our food system and support the growth of the Good Food Movement.

The event will feature a unique blend of artists and genres; serve family farm-identified, local and organic foods at concessions; and create opportunities for concertgoers to experience the Good Food Movement firsthand through hands-on exhibits and workshops and a chance for concertgoers to meet farmers, dig in, and learn about the ways family farmers are enriching our soil, protecting our water, strengthening our communities and bringing us good food for good health.  

Tickets for Farm Aid 30 will go on sale Monday, August 3, at 10 a.m. CDT.
