Join All At Once and Support Sustainable Local Food Systems

May 02, 2010
All At Once, Jack Johnson's social action network, encourages you to become active in your local and world community.
This year's All At Once campaign features over 150 non-profit groups and focuses on supporting Sustainable Local Food Systems and Plastic Free Initiatives. Jack Johnson's tour proceeds will go to these groups to support their projects. This week All At Once introduces you to Sustainable Local Food Systems. This means knowing where your food comes from and how it affects your health, community, and the environment - it's all connected. Here's three things you can do to support a vision for sustainable agriculture and healthy food. Let your VOICE be heard!
  • Sign the Roots of Change Food Declaration for Healthy Food and Agriculture at FoodDeclaration.org
Ask legislators to take a closer look at how we grow, distribute, and prepare food in order to meet our growing food needs without compromising our health or the environment.
  • Contact your legislators and support healthy lunches in school.
Sign Slow Food's "Time for Lunch" petition and join the national movement. Visit TheLunchBox.org to support the "One More Dollar a Day for Healthy School Food" effort and ask Congress to invest in healthy school lunches for every child.
  • Sign up and stay informed on Food and Farm Policy Issues with Head Count.
Stay up to date on the latest news in sustainable agriculture and get involved by volunteering and taking legislative action.
