Celebrate Local and International Non-Profit Events!

May 15, 2014

The All At Once community supports sustainable local food systems and plastic free initiatives and is showcasing some exciting opportunities to get involved in local and international events and celebrations.

Food Revolution Day is Jamie Oliver’s global day of action to keep cooking skills alive. It’s about celebrating the importance of cooking good food, passing on cooking skills and raising awareness of how food impacts our health and happiness. Jamie believes that starts with getting kids food smart, making cooking fun and inspiring a love of food that will last a lifetime. Join the revolution on Friday, May 16 and download brand new Food Revolution recipes at www.foodrevolutionday.com and follow #FRD2014.

World Environment Day is the biggest global celebration encouraging positive action for the environment and galvanizing individual actions, raising awareness that every action we take toward reducing waste and mitigating climate change counts. Jack is adding his voice in support of the World Environment Day Challenge by supporting solutions to plastic pollution. Pledge to make a difference by taking action at WEDCHALLENGE.COM.

On June 8th 2014, communities around the globe will celebrate World Oceans Day as an opportunity to learn more about our ocean and take action to help conserve it. Anyone can organize a celebration, large or small, inland or coastal, and register it to share it with the world. Share how you’re helping the ocean by taking a photo of yourself doing something for the ocean – or making a promise to help out. One great thing you can do is to commit to using a reusable water bottle or shopping bag to reduce plastic waste from ending up in the ocean and tag it #WorldOceansday and #AAOPlasticFree. Many of the All At Once Non-Profit Partners teaming up with Jack’s From Here To Now To You tour of North America are planning volunteer events including watershed clean-ups and garden planting days. Jack Johnson concert tickets will be given away to lucky winners at many of these community events! Learn more and get connected with a local volunteer event!
