Get Ready for International Coastal Clean-Up Day!

September 04, 2014

September 20th is Ocean Conservancy’s International Coastal Clean-Up Day, the world’s largest volunteer effort for our oceans and waterways. Last year, over 600,000 volunteers picked up more than 12 million pounds of trash, much of it consisting of plastic debris such as single-use bags, beverage bottles, bottle caps and straws. Help “Turn the Tide on Trash” and sign-up to clean-up! Also, many of our All At Once non-profit partners are hosting ongoing local coastal and watershed clean-up efforts. Explore local partners and find a volunteer event near you! #AAOPlasticFree.

While Jack was traveling through Cornwall this summer, he recorded a shout out for the Marine Conservation Society’s Great British Beach Clean taking place September 19-22. Check out Jack’s video here! Become an organizer or find a UK event near you! #BeachClean
