It’s been an exciting time for youth and community action in support of climate solutions and clean oceans. On September 20th, Jack joined millions of young people striking around the world to demand climate action. As a goodwill ambassador for UN Environment, Jack is spreading the word about the #ActNow campaign. Explore un.org/actnow for actions to take in your everyday life including choosing sustainable local food, supporting zero-waste fashion, and committing to refill and reuse to reduce plastic waste. Jack has also taken the DivestInvest pledge to divest from fossil fuels, and has joined dozens of artists to support the We Are Still In Movement to show that the music industry is committed to climate solutions. Check out Jack's We Are Still In Success Story to learn more.

Jack and his Kokua Hawaii Foundation also celebrated International Coastal Cleanup and World Cleanup Day on September 21st, rallying hundreds of volunteers to clean a local beach on Oahu. Thanks to the millions of volunteers around the world who came together to clean their local communities, coastlines and waterways! It’s important to understand the full life cycle of single-use plastic and how it ends up on our beaches. Check out this new teaser for The Story of Plastic, presented by our friends at The Story of Stuff Project to shine the spotlight on the need to reduce plastic at the source.
