Farm to Stage (Video)

From the farm to the stage! Jack and his team have always taken a full-circle approach to touring sustainability, as longtime advocates for local food wherever they play. For over a decade the tour has teamed up with renowned chefs across America, alongside local farmers and purveyors, to highlight the local food movement with a series of farm to stage events for lucky radio winners, as well as sourcing local organic ingredients for catering and backstage.

In April 2104, Jack and Kim were invited by their good friends Ed Kenney and Michel Nischan to attend the James Beard Foundation Chef Bootcamp. At the multi day gathering they met the foundation’s Senior Director of Policy and Advocacy, Katherine Miller. It was at this bootcamp that Jack and Kim forged long lasting relationships with influential chefs across the nation and together they hatched a plan to partner on a series of Farm to Stage events at Jack’s upcoming tour that summer. To date there have been over 25 events with over 28 different Chefs.
